International Conference on: INTELLIGENT MANIPULATION AND GRASPING IMG04 July 1-2, 2004, Genova, Italy updated url: www.IMG04.com
IMG04 flyer is available at http://www.dimec.unige.it/PMAR/IMG04/download/files/img04.pdf
***************************************** Nowadays robotics is gaining new and new application fields, becoming pervasive in the daily life. Manipulation skills are very important requirements for the emergent robot applications, both in industry (e.g. handling food, fabrics, leather) and in less structured domains (e.g. cyber-surgery, space, undersea).
Intelligent manipulation and grasping systems are a vital part of industrial, service and personal robotics for various applications and environments to advance manufacturing automation, to make safe hazardous operations and to enhance in different ways the living standard.
The goal of the conference is to exchange and stimulate research ideas about intelligent manipulation and grasping devices and systems as well as to disseminate knowledge and solutions and promote transfer to industry.
